Comparative study of evaporation losses calculated by I. M. D. /Hydrology Project data with the figures mentioned in P. W. D. handbook is carried out.

Government has accepted the studies carried out by Hydrology Project and issued orders vide letter dated 21/10/2005 for using the results of Hydrology Project instead of P.W.D. handbook during planning of new projects as well as for preparation of yearly irrigation program for management of completed projects. |

Conclusion: |

As per study of Hydrology project, the evaporation losses are less. But for Deccan area for the months of April and May, the evaporation losses are comparatively more. |
